    Area of Science:

    • Urology
    • Mineralogy

    Background:

    • Bladder stones can cause urinary symptoms.
    • Brushite stones are a specific type of calcium phosphate stone.

    Observation:

    • A large (35 gm) brushite stone was found in the prostatic urethra.
    • The patient was asymptomatic aside from hematuria.

    Findings:

    • The brushite stone had a concentric layered structure.
    • Successful surgical removal of the stone was achieved.

    Implications:

    • This case highlights the possibility of large, asymptomatic brushite stones.
    • Understanding stone composition is crucial for treatment.
