    This study reveals AIDS-related glomerulopathy occurs independently of intravenous drug use, impacting adults and children with AIDS. Renal disease is rare in homosexual men with AIDS, but common in Haitians and children with perinatal AIDS.

    Background:

    • Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is associated with various renal complications.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the histopathology and incidence of AIDS-related glomerulopathy.
    • To identify risk factors, including intravenous drug use, and assess the prevalence in different demographic groups and age ranges.
