    Background:

    • Passive Heymann nephritis (PHN) is a model of kidney disease characterized by proteinuria.
    • Colchicine is a medication with anti-inflammatory properties.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the effect of colchicine on proteinuria and albuminuria in rats with PHN.
    • To explore the potential mechanisms underlying colchicine's effects, including the role of prostaglandins.

    Main Methods:

    • Rats with PHN were treated with colchicine, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), or a combination of colchicine and indomethacin.
