Cancer Stem Cell Markers in Rhabdomyosarcoma in Children

Cancer stem cell (CSC) markers CD24, CD44, CD133, and ALDH1A1 are present in pediatric rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) tissue. However, these markers did not show prognostic significance for patient survival in this study.

- No significant correlation was found between CSC marker expression and established prognostic factors or survival rates in RMS.

- The study confirms the presence of CD24, CD44, CD133, and ALDH1A1 in pediatric rhabdomyosarcoma.
- The assessed CSC markers do not appear to hold prognostic relevance for survival in pediatric RMS patients.
- Further research is warranted to elucidate the role of these CSC markers in RMS development and progression.
