    A short course of cefazolin did not significantly reduce postoperative morbidity in patients, despite being bacteriologically effective in altering microbial flora. Ruptured membranes were the main risk factor for morbidity.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the efficacy of a short-course, 3-dose perioperative cefazolin regimen in reducing postoperative morbidity.
