Abstract:
The effect of phosphate on PCV, Hb, platelet count, WBC count and differential leukocytic count were investigated in 36 phosphate mine labourers and 21 office employees (not exposed to phosphate dust) at Rusaifa Phosphate Mines, Jordan. Their age range was 30-40 years and they had worked in the mines for 5 to 10 years. Most parameters were significantly higher in the mine labourers as compared to those of office employees.
