In the context of psychological research, this would mean that any instruments or tools used to collect data do so in consistent, reproducible ways.

Summary

This study validated the Turkish version of the Scale on Community Care Perception (SCOPE) for nursing students. The validated SCOPE can now measure Turkish nursing students' community care perceptions.

Background:

A significant number of nursing graduates do not pursue community health careers, impacting community care.
Assessing nursing students' perceptions of community health is crucial for addressing this gap.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the validity and reliability of the Turkish adaptation of the Scale on Community Care Perception (SCOPE).
To provide a tool for measuring community care perception among Turkish nursing students.

Main Methods:

Methodological study involving two phases.
Data collected from 601 undergraduate nursing students in Turkey.
Utilized the Descriptive Information Form and the Scale on Community Care Perception for Nursing Students.

Main Results:

The Turkish SCOPE demonstrated strong content validity with an index of 0.91.
The scale comprises 28 items across 6 subscales, explaining 60.297% of the total variance.
Established validity and reliability for the Turkish adaptation.

Conclusions:

The Turkish adaptation of the SCOPE is a valid and reliable instrument.
This tool can be effectively used to assess the community care perception of nursing students in Turkey.
Findings support the use of the SCOPE in future research and educational interventions aimed at enhancing community health engagement among nursing students.
