Early Macular Thickness Changes after Trabeculectomy and Combined Phaco-Trabeculectomy

Combined phaco-trabeculectomy surgery may cause temporary increases in central retinal thickness (RT), particularly in the temporal perifoveal region, which typically resolves within three months. Trabeculectomy alone showed no significant RT changes post-surgery.

- Temporary increases in RT following combined phaco-trabeculectomy generally resolve, with the exception of the temporal perifoveal area.
