Abstract:
Case report of an eight-months-old boy with an embryonal cell carcinoma. At the time (1973) there was no generally accepted opinion in The Netherlands concerning the extension of the current treatment. Based on a Canadian report hemicastration only was performed. In the light of recent literature and our own experience this policy has proved correct. The conclusion seems justified that, in stage-I tumours, hemicastration is sufficient.
