The blood pressure variability in patients with cryptogenic stroke

Elevated blood pressure variability (BPV) is linked to cryptogenic stroke and left atrial enlargement. Monitoring BPV may aid in preventing strokes and managing related heart conditions.

- BPV parameters positively correlated with LA remodeling parameters; age, night systolic SD, and night diastolic SD independently predicted LA remodeling.
Conclusions:
- Cryptogenic stroke patients show higher short-term BPV, LA enlargement, and lower LAEF.
- Close monitoring of BPV is valuable for both primary and secondary prevention of ischemic stroke.
