[Accept mistakes to beat them on time.]

Abstract:
The report "To err is human" by the American Institute of Medicine changed the way adverse events resulting from health care are viewed. A problem no longer linked to the single individual, but to the health system as a whole. Since then efforts to identify effective strategies to reduce the number of adverse events became a national priority. A risk culture linked to the concept of anticipation of the events has developed, several steps forward have been made from a regulatory point of view and a discussion about how technology can support professionals in preventing errors has started. However, it is necessary to continue talking about it to increase awareness by involving citizens as well.

Absolute error in a measurement is the numerical difference from the true or central value. Relative error is the ratio between absolute error and the true or central value, expressed as a percentage.
Errors can be classified by source, magnitude, and sign. There are three types of errors: systematic, random, and gross.

Avoidance Learning and Learned Helplessness
Avoidance learning occurs when an organism learns that a specific behavior can prevent an unpleasant outcome. Avoidance learning is powerful because it maintains behavior in the absence of the...
