Summary

Postoperative chyle leakage after neck dissection can be severe. Balloon compression offers an effective treatment for high-flow chyle leakage, a challenging complication.

Area of Science:

  • Surgical Complications
  • Vascular Surgery
  • Oncology

Background:

  • Postoperative chyle leakage (CL) is a rare but serious complication following neck dissection.
  • While conservative management is often effective, high-flow CL presents treatment challenges due to limited efficient options.
