Summary

This meta-analysis found no significant difference in bracket failure rates between self-etch primer (SEP) and conventional acid-etch primer (CM-AEP) over 18 months. Resin-modified glass ionomer (RM-GIC) showed higher failure rates compared to self-cure resin (SCR).
