Integrated optical system design for large-field-of-view and broad-spectrum laser warning
Abstract:
We introduce an integrated large-field-of-view optical system, including a diffraction grating and a multiband narrowband filter, for laser detection. Simulation of the system in the ZEMAX optical design software package indicated that it was capable of detecting laser radiation in the visible light to near-infrared spectral range (500-1700 nm) from azimuth angles up to 120°, and pitch angles up to 96°. In practical experiments conducted at typical laser wavelengths (532 nm, 1064 nm, 1550 nm), the angle error in the full field of view was better than 0.5°, while the laser center wavelength detection accuracy was better than 7 nm, confirming the system's ability to identify the angle of incidence and wavelength of an incoming laser beam.
