Do Lymph Node Metastases Matter in Appendiceal Cancer with Peritoneal Carcinomatosis? A US HIPEC Collaborative Study

Lymph node metastasis in appendiceal adenocarcinoma (AA) significantly worsens overall survival (OS) after cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (CRS-HIPEC). Formal lymph node evaluation is crucial for staging and prognosis in these patients.

- Formal lymph node evaluation should be routinely performed for patients with AA undergoing CRS-HIPEC to guide treatment and prognostication.
