Summary

Iron accumulation in the substantia nigra is a hallmark of Parkinson's disease. This study introduces an innovative MRI technique, intrasubject subcortical quantitative referencing (ISQR), to accurately measure iron levels, revealing a significant increase in Parkinson's disease patients.
