[Parent counseling and simultaneous treatment of neurotically maldeveloped children and adolescents]

The author's experience is used as a basis to discuss various approaches to parent counselling which are illustrated by examples. Follow-up studies on stutterers show that long-term success obviously depends on the willingness of parents to play an active part in the treatment.
