Relationship between Upper and Lower Body Strength and Basketball Shooting Performance

Maximal upper and lower body strength, measured by bench press and back squat one-repetition maximum (1RM), did not significantly correlate with basketball shooting accuracy in male and female players. Strength is not a predictor of free-throw, two-point, or three-point shooting performance.
