[Detection of phospholipase D in rat liver mitochondria]

It is determined that the rat liver mitochondria contain phospholipase D. It is active during incubation of the intact mitochondria, their "ghosts", as well as fractions of outer and inner membranes. This enzyme is shown to be able to realize the catalytic transformations of substrates by the reaction of hydrolysis and exchange of bases.
