Topical Dimethyl Sulfoxide for Congested Nipple-areolar Complexes in Breast Surgery: A Pilot Study

Topical dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) effectively rescued congested nipple-areolar complexes (NACs) after breast surgery in a pilot study. This inexpensive treatment showed promising results with no complications, suggesting further research is warranted.
