Reduced Diffusing Capacity in Humidifier Disinfectant-Associated Asthma Versus Typical Asthma: A Retrospective Case

Humidifier disinfectant-associated asthma (HDA) patients showed significantly lower diffusing capacity of the lung for carbon monoxide (DLCO). Monitoring DLCO may aid early HDA diagnosis in individuals with asthma symptoms and humidifier disinfectant exposure history.
