Using Routine Chest Computed Tomography to Diagnose Pulmonary Embolism

Routine contrast-enhanced chest CT scans can diagnose unsuspected pulmonary embolism (PE). Over a quarter of scans showed adequate pulmonary artery enhancement, including nearly half of PE-positive cases.
