Thymic cyst: Is attenuation artifactually increased on contrast-enhanced CT?

Adjacent large vessels can artifactually increase thymic cyst density on contrast-enhanced CT (CE-CT), mimicking thymomas. Understanding this pseudo-enhancement phenomenon helps prevent misdiagnosis and unnecessary thymectomy.
