The Timing of Semantic Processing in the Parafovea: Evidence from a Rapid Parallel Visual Presentation Study

Semantic information from parafoveal vision is processed rapidly, within 100ms, in parallel with foveal word processing. This occurs especially with high-frequency words, aiding word recognition and eye movement models.
