Arterial hypertension (AH) is common in systemic sclerosis (SSc), affecting 41.7% of patients. This condition is linked to more severe disease, including increased mortality and kidney problems.

- AH is a common complication in SSc patients.
- AH in SSc is associated with a more severe disease course and a higher frequency of renal complications.
