Small bowel intussusception can be transient and challenging to diagnose. Imaging findings suggesting a pathological lead point may warrant surgical intervention for effective management.

Background:

Small bowel intussusception diagnosis and management lack extensive evidence.
This case report explores management strategies for timely and appropriate treatment.

Observation:

A 75-year-old male presented with a six-week history of abdominal pain and constipation.
CT scan revealed small bowel intussusception with a suspected mucosal mass as the lead point.
Diagnostic laparoscopy did not identify any obstruction or mass.

Findings:

The intussusception was transient, resolving spontaneously.
Imaging findings suggestive of a pathological lead point were noted.

Implications:

This case underscores the transient nature of some small bowel intussusceptions.
