Rectal retractors (RR) offer a novel solution to increase rectal-prostate distance in prostate radiotherapy (RT), potentially improving dose delivery and reducing toxicity. This editorial explores the opportunities and challenges associated with using RRs in external beam radiotherapy (EBRT).
