Summary

A history of loop electrosurgical excision procedure (conisation) does not increase prematurity risk. However, women who underwent conisation had fewer C-sections and earlier deliveries.

Purpose of the Study:

  • Retrospective cohort study comparing 57 nulliparous women with prior conisation to 100 age-matched controls.
  • Analysis of obstetric and neonatal outcomes in singleton pregnancies.

  • No significant difference in premature delivery rates between groups.
