Safety evaluation of CuminUP60® - A novel curcumin complex

CuminUP60®, a curcumin complex, demonstrated no mutagenicity in vitro and in vivo safety studies. Oral administration showed good tolerability in rats, establishing a no observed adverse effect level (NOAEL) of 1000 mg/kg bw/day.

Background:
- Curcuma longa L. is a recognized Curcuma species, with curcumin being its primary bioactive compound.
- Curcumin has a long history of use for various purposes.
