Tuberculosis, often called TB, is a contagious illness primarily caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It mainly affects the lung parenchyma but can also impact other body parts.
Causative Organism

Summary

Alveolar echinococcosis (AE) is increasingly seen in immunocompromised patients, presenting with earlier diagnosis and atypical imaging. Serological screening before immunosuppressive therapy is recommended for those in endemic areas.
