Summary

This study reveals that phosphorus induces six-fold-coordinated silicon ([6]Si) in P2O5-SiO2-Na2O-CaO glasses, enhancing their stability. The presence of CaO and Na2O suppresses ion dissolution, making these glasses promising for therapeutic applications.
