Summary

The genomic classifier for usual interstitial pneumonia (gUIP) did not predict disease progression or lung function decline in patients undergoing diagnostic evaluation. This genomic test does not appear to identify patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis who will have an IPF-like clinical course.
