  • Increased TBARS/Thiol ratio and serum Cu levels were independently associated with a non-dipper DBP profile.

Conclusions:

  • Hypertensive patients with a non-dipper DBP profile exhibit higher levels of certain oxidative stress markers.
  • Abnormalities in redox status may accompany impaired nocturnal DBP decrease, particularly in individuals at increased cardiovascular risk.
