    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate and compare gastric secretion parameters between coeliac patients and healthy controls.
    • To quantify differences in gastric volume, acidity, and enzymatic activity.

    • Gastric secretion was analyzed in 14 coeliac patients and 8 controls.

    • Coeliac patients demonstrate markedly increased gastric secretion, acidity, and proteolytic/pepsin activity compared to controls.
    • These findings suggest a distinct gastric secretory profile in coeliac disease.
    • Further research is warranted to explore the clinical implications of these secretory differences.
