High MBL-expressing genotypes are associated with deterioration in renal function in type 2 diabetes

Mannan-binding lectin (MBL) levels in Type 2 diabetes (T2D) patients did not differ from healthy individuals. However, high MBL genotypes were linked to faster kidney function decline in T2D patients.
