Persistent SARS-CoV-2 infection in patients seemingly recovered from COVID-19

Persistent SARS-CoV-2 infection can occur long after negative PCR tests, with the virus found in lung cells. This post-mortem study reveals ongoing viral presence and lung pathology in patients who seemingly recovered from COVID-19.
