Mucoid Staphylococcus haemolyticus: an unheeded multidrug-resistant pathogen

This study reports a rare case of multidrug-resistant mucoid Staphylococcus haemolyticus causing infection in a polytrauma patient. Early identification and appropriate treatment are crucial for managing such difficult-to-treat infections and preventing antimicrobial resistance.
