Summary

Adenosine deaminase acting on RNA 1 (ADAR1) in macrophages promotes abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) formation by degrading Drosha, inhibiting anti-inflammatory microRNAs, and activating NF-kB signaling. This mechanism is conserved in human AAA.
