A core UPS molecular complement implicates unique endocytic compartments at the parasite-host interface in Giardia

Unconventional protein secretion (UPS) machinery in Giardia lamblia was identified. This study links endocytic organelles (PV/PECs) to virulence-associated UPS, revealing a novel parasite-host interaction mechanism.
