Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the correlation between ploidy in partial moles and the occurrence of complications.
  • To assess the utility of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) cell cycle fractions and proliferation index in predicting complications in diploid partial moles.

  • Ploidy was determined using flow cytometry for nuclear DNA quantitation in 35 partial mole cases.
