Background:

Corneal endothelial decompensation requires treatment, with Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) being the gold standard.

Purpose of the Study:

To develop a modified DMEK procedure for localized endothelial dysfunction.
To preserve healthy host endothelial cells and minimize the immunological burden of grafts.

Production of endothelial grafts precisely matching the area of endothelial cell dysfunction.
Application of these targeted grafts in a modified DMEK procedure termed "DM endothelial patching".
