Abstract:
Subsequently to the publication of the above paper, the authors have realized, upon reorganizing all their original data, that errors were made during the assembly of the images in Fig. 5 on p. 8. Specifically, in Fig. 5E, the images intended to represent the 'METTL3 sh‑METTL3' and 'Bcl‑2 sg‑METTL3' immuno-histochemistry staining experiments were selected incorrectly. The revised version of Fig. 5, showing the correctly assembled data panels for the 'METTL3 sh‑METTL3' and 'Bcl‑2 sg‑METTL3' experiments in Fig. 5E, is shown on the next page. The authors sincerely apologize for the errors that were inadvertently introduced during the preparation of this Figure, thank the Editor of Oncology Reports for allowing them the opportunity to publish this Corrigendum, and regret any inconvenience that these errors may have caused to the readership. Insights
This corrigendum corrects errors in Fig. 5E of a previously published paper. The incorrect images for METTL3 (methyltransferase-like 3) and BCL2 (B-cell lymphoma 2) immunohistochemistry staining have been replaced with accurate data.
Area of Science:
- Oncology
- Molecular Biology
- Cancer Research
Context:
- A previous publication in Oncology Reports contained errors in image assembly for Figure 5E.
- Specifically, incorrect images were used for METTL3 sh-METTL3 and Bcl-2 sg-METTL3 immunohistochemistry staining.
Purpose:
- To correct and republish Figure 5E with accurate data panels.
- To ensure the integrity and accuracy of the scientific record.
Summary:
- This corrigendum addresses errors identified in Figure 5E of a published study.
- The corrected Figure 5E presents the accurate immunohistochemistry staining data for METTL3 sh-METTL3 and Bcl-2 sg-METTL3 experiments.
- The authors apologize for the inadvertent errors and provide the revised figure for clarity.
Impact:
- Ensures accurate representation of experimental results related to METTL3 and BCL2.
- Maintains the reliability of data presented in Oncology Reports.
- Prevents potential misinterpretation of findings by the scientific community.

Colon cancer is one of the best-documented examples of tumor progression. Early mutation in the APC gene in colon cells causes a small growth on the colon wall called a polyp. With time, this polyp grows into a benign, pre-cancerous tumor. Further...
