Sex Differences in the Association Between Hypertension and Incident Atrial Fibrillation

Hypertension increases atrial fibrillation (AF) risk in both sexes, but this association is significantly stronger in women. Despite higher AF incidence in men, women experience a more pronounced risk increase with elevated blood pressure.
