Complement regulatory proteins, CD46, CD55, and CD59, show promise as biomarkers for diagnosing tuberculosis pleural effusion (TPE). Lower levels of these proteins in pleural effusion correlate with TPE, and their combined detection with ADA improves diagnostic accuracy.
