The case for James Mills Peirce

This paper presents a circumstantial, but convincing, case that James Mills Peirce (1834--1906), professor of mathematics and first dean of the Graduate School of Harvard University, was the author of a strong defense of homosexuality, which was published anonymously in 1897.
