Summary

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) nasal swab PCR testing effectively reduced anti-MRSA therapy in COVID-19 patients. This antimicrobial stewardship tool helped discontinue or avoid MRSA treatment in 81% of cases.
