Cyanotoxin exposure and hepatocellular carcinoma

Cyanotoxins, produced by cyanobacteria, were found in all hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients. These toxins correlated with metabolic risk factors and altered lipid metabolism gene expression in tumors.
