Background:

Facial melanoma defect reconstruction presents challenges, often requiring extensive cervicofacial flaps.
Surgeons may delay large reconstructions pending definitive margin pathology.
Local perforator flaps offer an alternative with less dissection and morbidity.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the safety and cosmetic outcomes of facial artery perforator flaps for oncologic defects.
To assess the flap's utility in immediate repair of midface and cheek defects.

Retrospective review of melanoma cases (January 2016 - December 2021).
Inclusion of patients reconstructed with facial artery perforator flaps.
Analysis of defect location, margin status, and complications.
