Summary
Recombinant alpha 2c-interferon showed limited therapeutic value for fulminant viral hepatitis. This treatment did not improve survival rates in patients with hepatitis B virus (HBV) or hepatitis A virus (HAV) infections, especially those involving hepatitis D virus (HDV).
