This study explored how astrocytes, a type of brain cell, vary in structure across different regions of the mouse hippocampus. Using detailed imaging techniques, the researchers found that astrocytes in the CA1 and dentate gyrus regions have distinct shapes, and these differences are consistent along the dorsoventral axis.
